Getting from Porto airport to city centre by Metro
The cheapest and most direct way to get from Porto airport to city centre is using Porto Metro network. You can check here Porto Metro Network Map. Porto airport is served by the purple line (Line E), and it connects with “Trindade” station, right in Porto city centre, where it’s possible to change to other Metro lines, in a trip that takes about 25 minutes.
The price of a single ticket (“Andante Azul”) is € 2.15 (zone Z4), and is valid for 1 hour and 15 minutes. An “Andante 24” ticket costs € 7.55 (zone Z4) and can be used also in buses and trams. Tickets can be purchased from vending machines at the airport and metro stations and you need to validate it at the yellow totems before boarding.
Getting from Porto airport to city centre by bus
Another cheap option is using bus connections, private or public, available from the arrivals section of the airport. The bus ride takes around 40 minutes, but it may depend on traffic. Local buses are the cheapest option, operating usually from 5h30 to 00h30, on a 25-minute frequency (approx). There are two lines available, 601 and 602, connecting Porto airport with Cordoaria, very close to Clérigos Tower, right in city centre. Of course, you can get from Porto airport to city centre easily if you have your own vehicle, and it will only take about 20 minutes.

Porto Taxis and Rideshare Services
One final option is using taxis or rideshare services. You can choose the official Porto taxis (light yellow, or black with green top) and the ride from Porto airport to city centre costs around 25€. Or you opt for platforms such as Uber, Bolt or Cabify (and others), which is a cheaper option.
NOTE: Porto taxi drivers are not fans of Uber and other platforms, and initially (when these platforms started opperating in Porto) there was some tension between drivers, but the situation is now normalized. You can use as a pick-up point the arrivals exit, with no problem whatsoever.
